- Yearbooks
- Pictures - although the duplicates are maybe a little much
- A letter from an ex boyfriend
- A journal from my sophomore year in high school (very entertaining)
- My informative/persuasive paper from my senior year in high school
- A letter I wrote to myself in 4th grade
Now.. I know those are debatable, but I feel like they're important. Most of the box is filled with things that if I would have thrown them away years ago, I would never have realized I missed them. Such as:
- A ridiculous number of Valentine's Day cards from my best friend in high school, all complete with hilarious phrases or pictures
- Every single thing that was every posted on my locker throughout my 4 years in high school
- A ribbon that came on something that my Godfather gave me for Christmas or a birthday
- 8 hotel room keys
- A hotel door number
- A set of green beads
- A grade report from senior year
There is tons of other stuff in that box, but my point is - I can't throw any of it away. As stated above, most of the stuff in that box, I never would have realized I had it. But I think that's the point. I went through that box and even the most menial things, such as a letter from my friend Zach, bring a smile to my face and make me think of those happy times. Cherish the memories you have. One of my favorite quotes came from October Road the television show, which sadly only went two seasons
Why is it when memories are happening you don't know it, so you don't get to appreciate them until it's too lateDefinitely a true statement. Peace out chicken snout.
